Clear Spring Disaster Relief Resources

In light of the devastating flood in Clear Spring, the following resources are available for those in need, as well as those who want to help.

Volunteers - Per the Washington County Md. Fire Calls Page, volunteers are not needed at this time. Please avoid the area. (source)

Shelter -
If you are in need of shelter, call 301-842-2711 and speak with Cindy Ramacciotti: 233 Cumberland St., Clear Spring, Md.  (source)

Those Clear Spring residents displaced by flooding are encouraged to check in at the Clear Spring High School, 12630 Broadfording Road, Clear Spring, MD 21722, to receive food and additional information.
The school will remain open as needed by displaced community members. (source)

Food - Mt. Calvary Church of God is providing a FREE picnic meal to all people affected by the flood.
June 13, 2014 - 6-8 pm.

Clothing -
June 15, 2014 - St. Peter's Lutheran Church will be giving out clothing from 12 to 3 pm.
Future dates TBD.

Salem Reformed Church in Hagerstown, MD is opening up it's clothes closet to help those affected from the flood. Please email them at salemreformed@aol.com or call (301) 739-9212 to make sure someone is there. (source)

All Needs/Misc - 
Clear Spring Reformed Church has a trailer full of items to help those affected from the flood. The trailer is located at 14539 Hicksville Rd in Clear Spring. It will be open tomorrow and Tuesday from 9am-8pm and Thursday from 9am-3pm and 6pm-8pm. If you are not available to go during those times, please call Donna at (301) 842-3770 to make arrangements. Saint Andrews Episcopal Church
St. Andrew's Flood Relief Center is open this week 9 a.m. to 8:00 P.M. Monday - Friday. And also open on appointment. We are accepting donations of non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies, and gift cards. (source)

There are multiple families in need of donations. These families can be donated to directly through various crowd-funding sites. Lists are available on GoFundMe and GiveForward. Note that the authenticity of these donations has not been verified, so be vigilant.

Chick-Fil-A will host a fundraiser on June 23 between 5 and 9 PM.
